Xbox Ebay's Messiah?

Last year's (2004) holiday season did not pull any miracle for Ebay despite lot of speculation. How about this year?

Xbox opened at about $400 in stores and is selling for almost $1000 on Ebay? Now, who's the daddy?

Another question that arises is will Xbox rise like the iconic Phoenix for Microsoft as Ipod did for Apple? Hmmm....
