Glory of Foobar

If you are a geek this word "Foobar" must have brought a wide smile on your face. For those not familiar with this; foobar is de facto word used to describes sections, functions, fake data etc in the world of computers. Any computers related book, literature, journal, manual or example they all use it!

Now, what is the origin of foobar. Originally, this was created by the armed forces around WWII and the original was spelled as fubar - F***** Up Beyond All Recognition.
